We are in an era where the need of addressing social concerns and promoting social welfare has become more critical than ever. To effectively address these issues, Social Concern Department at NBCC was established in 2025.

 

OBJECTIVES:

a)      To identify and analyse emerging and prevalent social issues in the state of Nagaland.

b)      To develop and implement strategies and programs to address those issues.

c)      To collaborate with other stakeholders (government agencies, NGOs etc.) to create a cohesive approach to social welfare.

d)      To raise awareness about social concerns and promote community engagement.

 

ANTICIPATED ACTIVITIES:

1.      Conduct surveys, interviews, and data collection on pressing social concerns, such as clean election movement, NLTP Act, drug related problem, human trafficking, HIV, environmental threats, social disparity and corruption.

2.      Examine the collected data to identify the root causes and potential solutions.

3.      Create programs and initiatives to tackle identified issues, such as substance abuse, poverty alleviation, relevant education, proper healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

4.      Collaborate with external organizations to implement programs effectively.

5.      Organize awareness campaigns, workshops, and community events.

6.      Foster partnerships with local government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations.

7.      Mobilize and seek funding for programs from various sources.

8.      Any other activities in align with the objectives of the department concern.
